New Years and Birthdays ...

It's a day until new years and a day past my birthday. It seems to me that lots of people put thought into new years resolutions. This seems like such a waste. If you want to do something to better yourself or stop doing something that bothers you, do it, don't wait for new years. If you have to force yourself to do it and you're only doing it because new years resolutions are traditional, what are the chances it's going to work. If you can't convince yourself to make the change right now you will probably not be able to do it for new years.

On the birthday though, I had an excellent dinner with my wife, parents, sister, and in-laws. I received some excellent gifts and am very thankful to have so many people around me who care.

Merry Christmas!!!

This message is coming to you straight from my new laptop. I benchmarked it and it scores higher than my desktop. The only thing it does not do well is graphics. Luckily for me I don't need to do any high end graphics editing. The screen has been on for a couple hours and I already have one dead pixel. I hope it doesn't keep losing them. I'll have to call best buy on monday to find out about it. I hope everyone is having a great day and happy holiday season.

Edit: A pixel is the term for each little speck on a LCD screen. When one goes dead it shows as white. It never changes colors. This means that no matter what happens the screen will always be dead right there. The thing is ... The pixel came back to life and all is well.

The day before christmas ...

And all through the house ...

We'll have to see how well this works. I'm creating my blog the day before christmas. Not that anyone besides family will check it out!
